Netropolis: Global Interface
The
internet as we know it evolved from a project called ARPANET that
developed a simple nexus of nodes and lines of communication developed
by the US DoD and UCLA in the 1960's. The idea was that in the event of
a major nuclear assault on the United States survivors would still be
able to communicate and coordinate efforts with one another even if several
major cities and lines of connection were destroyed.
Today that meshwork spans our world and enables
human interaction and the sharing of information, ideas and culture at
an unprecedented scale. More people around the world are getting online
every day. Having a web site that gives a meaningful online experience
is an absolute must if you want to keep up with and participate in this
global information society.
Your web presence
is your ambassador. Whether you need a personal page or a media rich destination
for customers the user experience is the prime factor I consider in site
design and implementation.
